Banditapple was launched a couple of years ago as a new notebook manufacturer focused on providing a quality handmade notebook at very affordable prices. I’d read reviews of them on other blogs and was thrilled when they contacted me to offer some samples for review. The notebooks are similar to the Moleskine Cahiers or Field … Continue reading Review & Giveaway: Banditapple Carnets
A nice collection of Moleskines, posted on Flickr: I see sketchbooks, ruled and squared, large and small, top-opening and side-opening, which got me thinking: do most Moleskine users tend to buy mostly one kind of Moleskine over and over again, or do they have a wide variety like this? My Moleskine collection is much more … Continue reading Notebook Addict of the Week: Goodsnake

But a few months ago, when I was attending BookExpo America for my day job, I happened to wander through the Penguin booth and stopped when I … Continue reading Review: Penguin Notebook
This week’s addict got my attention through a post on the Notebook Stories Facebook page, where she linked to the first in a series of posts about her notebook collection: The series continues in these other notebook posts: Notebook Collection Part Two, Notebook Collection Part Three, and Phases in the Life of a Notebook. The … Continue reading Notebook Addict of the Week: Futurebird
The latest new development from the folks at Piccadilly: colored versions of their Essential Notebooks. They’re only available in lined versions, at least so far. And I guess they’re only available through Piccadilly’s online store now that Borders is going out of business! I hope they’ll find some other retailers to work with soon…
The About:Blank notebook is an interesting and pleasingly minimal notebook. From their website: “About:Blank is the pursuit of emptiness that is full of possibility,” which is a great way to describe notebooks in general. Let’s take a closer look at the sample the company sent me. The sample I received came nicely wrapped in tissue … Continue reading Review: About:Blank Notebook
