Oops, I forgot to do a giveaway with the review of the Stillman & Birn Zeta series sketchbook.  The company has generously offered 5 prizes– a choice of either a 5.5 x 8.5 hardbound or 6 x 8 wirebound (spiral) sketchbook for each winner.

I will select the 5 lucky winners from entries received in the following ways:
On Twitter, tweet something containing “@stillmanandbirn” and “@NotebookStories, and follow “@stillmanandbirn” and “@NotebookStories.”

On Facebook, “like” the  Notebook Stories page  and the Stillman & Birn page, and post something containing the words “Stillman & Birn” on the Notebook Stories wall.

  1. Would love one of these — I keep meaning to work some art back into my writing journals, but it’s hard to find paper that really works well for both. Sounds like these would be perfect! :)

  2. Would love to do a series of sketches in the book. Teach myself how to draw some bulldogs…

  3. I’d really love to win one of these. I’ve got a fantasy novel I am writing that will hopefully someday be a series; I’d like a dedicated sketchbook for all the characters and creatures and scenes I can SEE coming up to use as reference as I write.

  4. I really want to get back to doodling and doing Zentangles to relax. I’m not much of an artist, but I love trying out new patterns and just letting my mind wander.

  5. Watercolor painting! I’m always looking for good paper that doesn’t curl up when it gets wet.

  7. I’d really love to get one of these Stillman & Birn sketchbooks, could be great for my preparation sketches, and doing some color tests on this paper. For a creative mind a new sketchbook means a new world just waiting to be created.

  11. I’d love a multimedia notebook :) My go-to notebook’s spine broke, because it wasn’t meant for the task, and I’d have something that can stand up to the challenge!

  12. I’d love to win one of these Stillman & Birn sketchbooks because I haven’t yet decided which type I like the best. So far I’ve filled an Epsilon and have now started an Alpha which I like very much. The great variety of sizes and quality papers is why Stillman & Birn is so attractive to me. One of these smaller books would be great to carry with me during the day to do sketches on my lunch hour.

  13. I would have to fill it with my watercolor paintings and have it progress from newbie to not-so-newbie. I’m very impress by the paper and how well it handles watercolor.

  14. I take aggressive notes in film school.
    Mostly they’re doodles, but also sometimes they include things professors say.

  17. Thanks for the giveaway! I’m attempting to teach myself to draw dogs, primarily the dogs at BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter). Eventually I’d like to use the drawings/watercolors/collages to raise money for the BARCS medical fund. I’m doing this anyway, but how nice to do the drawings, etc. in a Zeta! Happy Thursday, Joanie

  19. I love my Stillman & Birn sketchbooks for daily art journaling.They stand up really well to whatever “media punishment” that occurs to them.

  21. I would love to have a Stillman & Birn sketchbook because of its quality. I’m slowly getting back into sketching, and like how much better my scrappy LOs and my mixed media turns out when I practice. I also have some lovely watercolors that I never get to use, and they are calling my name.

  30. I would love to win one of the Stillman and Birn Zeta sketchbooks. I currently use the Beta series for watercolor and love it. However, I have been looking for a sketchbook with smooth paper for some time to try some different mixed media effects and so when the Zeta came out I thought this is the answer. However, so far, I have been unable to buy one here in Canada. Thanks for the chance to win one of these.

  37. My desperate hunt for the perfect notebook lead me here! I’ve been trawling through shops, blogs and forums to find the best sketchbook for ink and washes. I’d LOVE to try the Stillman & Birn books. I can’t find them in shops in the UK!!

  38. I love my Stillman and birn books, and fill them with all types do mixed media, markers, pencils, paint, ink, sprays, Gelli plate, beads, fibers, wire, material…..whatever can be glued or sewed! I always have one on me in my pocketbook! Can always use more!
