This week’s addict is Sami, who blogs at Poor & Pretty. Here’s some of her journals:
She says:
When I was little, my Dad encouraged me to keep a diary so that I can record my thoughts during tough times. Though I have always been a vocal girl {my aunt loves to tell stories about little, chatty, me!}, journaling has helped me through some rough spots in my life. I quickly began to collect notebooks and journals, keeping some in a private lock box, and jotting down ideas for poems, books, and even screenplays in others {I was quite the creative writer as a youngster}.
Below is her most recently acquired journal, which was made as part of a project called “The Feedback Loop,” a really cool concept where letter press printers and paper companies sell notebooks and donate the proceeds to a mentoring program for high school students interested in sustainable design. (More details here, and you can buy the notebooks here.)
I was happy to see Sami’s notebooks, and even happier to learn about this very cool program!
