Do you ever leave the colored wraparound strip on your notebook? Or you’ve at least thought it looks kind of nice, and missed it a little after you took it off and your Moleskine was back to just being all black?

I kinda like to leave them on. But somehow they eventually get torn off.
I keep the wraparound in the back sleeve and when it is the time to store it to the self a put it back on and write title and date.
Ditto to what Antone says, they look very nice lined up on the shelf that way. They are only display packaging after all, best saved for displaying. :)
I save them as bookmarks.
They look nice, but I usually rip them off.
I dispatch with them immediately, for what it’s worth.
I do like the look of them and, oddly enough, feel a little guilty for discarding them. Maybe I should start pasting them on the inside of the covers…
I usually end up tearing it into smaller peices and keeping it in the back pocket to use as scrap if I need to write something down to give to someone.
I do think the stripes look nice, and I do keep them (in the back pocket, along with the history). Since I pretty much use the same types of Moleskines for the same types of purposes (“large ruled” for journals, “large plain” for random thoughts and doodles, and the “plain Cahier” which goes everywhere with me, and fills any need I might have), simply having the identifying stripe on display tells me immediately what I’ve used it for.
At the very least, theres no reason to throw them away. Theres always a little more room in your back pocket.
I don’t know. I guess that the band looks okay, but I like the classic moleskine look without the band.
i do like the way the books look with the band, but i never keep mine on. i just stick it in the back pocket and save it
I write the date on the band and keep it there for the whole time. It ripped a bit so I taped it, but then, I have a bit of an OCD problem. Anyone like me?
I keep them on to tell my books apart, the storyboard sleeve is a great neon pink, easy to find in my bag. I just hold them on with two pieces of tape on the inside covers.
I like how they look in the store, all bright and cheery, but when I get home, I rip the shrink wrap off, pull the colored band off, and throw them both away. I like the plain old black. It is what makes a Moleskine a Moleskine. Unassuming, quiet, hidden, black, perfect.
I like to keep mine on..they look good on my bookcase.
I reuse mine as a bookmark for notebooks that are Moleskine wannabes.
